What you'll need
- A selection of small bouquets of fresh lilies
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Clothespins
- Nails
- Hammer
How to make the lily decoration
-
Carefully choose an open wall in your home where you have the space to display the draped lilies
-
Mark off even spaces along your wall and hammer in as many nails as you’d like (make sure they are high enough to allow for the lilies to drape down)
-
Once you’ve placed all of your nails in the wall, cut approximately a metre of ribbon per lily bouquet
-
Carefully cut each lily with a sharp knife at a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the stem so they are all similar lengths
-
Tie your bouquet very near the lily petals with one end of the ribbon, leaving plenty of excess ribbon to hang the lilies
-
Take your clothespin and clamp the ribbon to the nail
- Adjust each bouquet so the ribbons and bouquets are facing forward
