It's quite simple really. Take a look around you. Does your indoor jungle have a stem or two left over? Pluck it! Did your little one accidentally kick a plant in your outdoor border and you have a broken flower or pathetic stem? Save it! See a couple of beautiful freesias at the florist, but not enough for a whole bunch? Buy them! Is your flowering garden plant rapidly taking over the whole fence and needs a trim? Save your relationship with the neighbours and prune it! Gather all these beautiful fragments into a cheerful vase.
