you will need
- Sustainable florist's foam or moss in chicken wire
- Vase or pot
- Your children's favourite flowers; we used:
- Violet
- Ranunculus
- Carnation
- Snapdragon
- Cymbidium
- Phalaenopsis
- Cambria
- Rose
- Gloriosa/Flame Lily
- Conifer/thuya
how to make it
Cut or knead the foam or moss into a ball shape. Water the shape so that it is sufficiently moist for flowers. After this, you can put the stems of the flowers into the oasis or moss.
Make sure you have a nice distribution of colour, shape and height. You could go for brightly coloured flowers, or all pink blooms. You could also use greenery rather than just flowers. Anything goes and nothing is compulsory!
Slowly but surely, the flower arrangement will take shape. Place the flower arrangement on the children's table among all the other goodies. Wow! What a showstopper.
