Rose makeover
It’s a tradition to look forward to every December: getting the Christmas decorations from the attic, placing the angel on top of the tree and putting up the fairy lights. But there are alternatives. For example, give your Christmas tree a rose makeover, or use a different powerful favourite flower. Even if it’s just for one special evening.
You will need:
-
A Christmas tree.
-
Roses in your favourite colours, enough to decorate your Christmas tree.
-
Possibly plastic tubes to fill with water (available from the florist)
-
A couple of attractive branches.
-
Wire, and pliers for cutting it with.
How does it work?
-
Cut off the rose stems a couple of centimetres beneath the flower.
-
Carefully attach the flowers to the branches with pieces of wire. Distribute them attractively across the entire tree.
-
If you want to enjoy them for longer, insert the flower stems in the filled plastic tubes, which you attached to the tree with wire.
-
Insert the attractive branches between the Christmas tree’s branches.
-
Take a step back, sniff the pine and rose fragrance, and sigh with delight.
