What you need:

  • Gerberas

  • Hand punch

  • Tweezers

  • Flower press or heavy books

  • Toilet paper or kitchen roll

  • Attractive sturdy paper for the confetti cone

  • Test tube

How to make it:

Step 1

Remove the petals from the gerberas and punch as many holes in each petal as possible. Keep the discs and throw the residue away. You can also opt to pick the petals off the gerbera and use them as confetti themselves.

Step 2

Place the confetti wrapped in four layers of kitchen roll in a book or press. Ensure that the confetti is not overlapping too much, otherwise it will all be stuck together when it dries. The tweezers are a handy tool for moving overlapping flakes.

Step 3

Make the confetti cone by rolling a square piece of attractive, sturdy paper approximately 20 cm x 20 cm into a cone. Stick the ends together with glue or a personalised sticker.

Step 4

Fill the confetti cone or test tube with the dry gerbera confetti. All done - all you need to do now is scatter the joy around!
