DIY Lavender & Rose Bath Melts

Soothe the day's strains away with these delightful treats

As winter approaches, there’s nothing more comforting than the thought of a warm bath to while away the hours in. Complete indulgence is essential, so light some candles, put on a luxurious face mask and enjoy these soothing Lavender Rose Bath Melts.

Drop one of these heart-shaped treats into your bath, and within five minutes the water will be filled with relaxing scents and moisturising oils. They only take around 20 minutes to make and you’ll have enough to last you through the chilly winter months. If you’re stuck for Christmas gift ideas for friends and family, these make gorgeous DIY presents.

The ingredients for the bath melts are extremely therapeutic. Moisturising shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties, which are great for dry patches and irritations. Coconut oil locks moisture into the skin and lavender essential oil calms the muscles. Naturally anti-inflammatory rose buds add a light scent and red alaea salt draws toxins from the body, leaving skin feeling soft and renewed.

What you’ll need:

  • 115g Unrefined Organic Shea Butter
  • 2 Tbs Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tbs Dried Rose Buds
  • 1 Tbs Dried Lavender Flowers
  • 1 Tbs Red Alaea Salt
  • 2 Tbs Baking Soda
  • 30 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
