Exposé #10: Tage Andersen

We’re proud to present Exposé, a series in which we introduce you to remarkable trend-setters who are involved with flowers and/or plants. This time in Exposé #10: artist and florist Tage Andersen.

A brief introduction: Tage Andersen, born and raised in Denmark, has had a flower shop in Copenhagen since 1967. Actually, the word ’shop’ doesn’t do it justice - you can also admire his flowers, plants, handmade furniture and aviaries. It’s a mini-museum, a gallery where you might suddenly see a peacock wandering by.

Tage has published six coffee table books, and is regularly asked to exhibit his work at major exhibitions. He unwinds at his country estate, Gunillaberg in Sweden, although you can’t really call it unwinding - he never sits still! Here he has created his own world with an impressive greenhouse filled with camellias, his animals (from wild boar to horses) and a fabulous house filled with his own creations. As he says himself: "I never stop. The form may change, but I never stop."
