Flowers in your hair

Flowers are the ultimate hair statement

Perfect for parties and wonderful for weddings, a flower in your hair is sure to get you compliments this summer.

Whether you choose to wear one eye-catching flower, or a crown of many, here are a couple of ideas to inspire you...

A colourful crown

The playful colours of the gerbera make it ideal to turn it into a flower crown following this DIY guide from A Beautiful Mess. Cut the stems to approximately 1.5 inches and use a wire to bind them together into a large ring. If you want to add some variety to the flower crown, maybe include some freesias or smaller flowers to accompany the bold gerberas. As you are using freshly cut flowers, these crowns won't last for long so it's best to make them and wear them on the same day. If you do make them the evening before, store them in the fridge overnight!

Tucked behind your ear

Just one flower tucked behind your ear can create a huge impression in your hair. There are so many colours to choose from so there are plenty of options to match your outfit! The multi-coloured varieties work well with block colours in your outfit, whilst a single coloured gerbera can look very striking when matched with a black outfit.
