Harmonise

Flower: Freesia
Look out for fresh and delicate flowers and plants with a rustic look and strong symbolic value. For example, Freesias are great flowers for this as they symbolise unconditional love and innocence.
Kalanchoe Beharensis are also well suited as their calming shades of green bring a welcomed softness to any space.
Equalise

Bringing the natural and manmade world together in beautiful synchronisation can be a complex task, but we like to look at how the most unusual of pairings can work together, to help equalise your home.
Blend living and inanimate materials in an alternate, eye-catching way. Use greenery to infuse nature into more drab and impersonal settings, whether it’s an indoor tree taking over the corner of the house or something growing up your brick work. You can also pair rugged plants with soft floral materials, or vice versa, to create synergy between the seemingly opposite.

Flower: Alstromeria (aka Kangaroo Paw)
Look for flowers and plants that are both robust and rugged, and delicate and decorative. Try placing flowers where you wouldn’t expect them, or pairing them with stark backgrounds. Use a combination of bold and soft colours which are varied and energetic. Anigozanthos (commonly known as Kangaroo Paw because of its unusual flowers which resemble the paws of the Aussie animal) also fit well and can be placed outdoors in the spring/summer months.
Energise

Flower: Dahlia
Strong sleek shapes in fresh green or other bold colours paired with faded shades of the same colours brings real vibrancy to a room. Bouquet shapes associated with sports (e.g. wreathes and rosettes) or pieces that contain playful elements are also great at giving off those energetic vibes. Dahlias echo sporty attributes with their eye-catching petals that can be evenly coloured, but are often noticeably bright with spots or lines.
Rebel

We all need a chance to relax and forget the rules for a while, and we’re seeing this really come through with how people are using flowers and plants. Place them in unusual places, or use off the wall pots and vases to create a look and feel that suits your personality and home. Remember, anything is possible and nothing is right or wrong!
