You will need:
- Glass vases (cube shapes work best)
- Lots of wine corks of a similar length (no judgement!)
- Heavy duty craft glue
Method:
- Lay your corks out on one side of your vase until you find a mix that looks relatively uniform in size. You may need several columns of corks depending on the width of your vase. You can neaten up the lengths using a knife if required.
- Glue the corks on one side of the vase by adding a generous dab of glue (but not too much that it oozes out!) to the cork and hold it in place for a few seconds to allow it to dry. If you need to make some adjustments you will have some time before the glue dries completely to make your changes - try and make sure the corks are all evenly positioned on the vase and all flush together while the glue is still wet.
- Once your first side is dry move onto the next one and repeat the above step until your vase is covered.
- Gluing corks vertically down the side is the finishing touch - thicker corks are best for the sides. You may need to cut the top cork to the correct length for your vase.
- Once fully dry fill with flowers and display proudly!
