Fresh, silk and flower patterned fabrics have been used across the years for pieces such as the chrysanthemum dress in the S/S 2001 VOSS collection and the Sarabande dress S/S 2007 which included the use of embroidered flower fabric and real, fresh flowers which fell onto the catwalk as the models walked in a dramatic visual reminder of the fleeting nature of life, a concept close to McQueen’s heart.
Presented through theatrical techniques, 3D holographic technology and film footage with all the of spectacle we have come to expect from McQueen’s runway shows, the Savage Beauty exhibit is sure to captivate and fascinate with many rare pieces on show. Learn more at the Savage Garden website.
