From the saffron crocus that causes a character to lose its nose to the enchanted rose that teaches a prince the true meaning of beauty, here are a few of our favourite botanical references…
1. Look familiar?

2. You know you've seen this one before, but where?

3. This one is easy..

4. You must have watched this 1,000 times!

5. It's on the tip of your tongue..

6. This one is a bit trickier

1. Frozen: Olaf the snowman is beguiled by the beauty of this purple saffron crocus – but when he leans down to take a whiff, he sneezes, which causes his carrot nose fly off into the centre of an icy lake.
2. Tangled: Beautiful daisies and gyspophila adorn the enchanted locks of our heroine Rapunzel.
3. Alice in Wonderland (1951): These personified pansies sing The Golden Afternoon in Disney’s animated musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic adventure. Other members of the floral choir include daisies, tulips, sweetpeas and daffodils.
4. Beauty & The Beast: This is the enchanted rose (in case you were wondering about the mystical glow) from the 1991 animated film of Beauty & the Beast. The flower has since become the iconic image associated with the film.
6. Bambi: When Bambi and his pal Thumper the rabbit stumble upon this adorable skunk hidden among the daisies, Bambi accidentallly (and ironically) calls him Flower, which remains his name for the rest of the film.
7. Sleeping Beauty: Having released Prince Phillip from the clutches of Maleficent, the three good fairies help him on his quest to reach Princess Aurora by turning the arrows attacking him into flowers.
